Liz Rice graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) but health issues sidelined her career plans to work in the health care industry. After 10 years in the corporate world, greatly improved health, and encouraged by colleagues to share her knowledge, Liz started her own company – Enviro-Health Presentations (EHP). The core message of EHP is – what’s good for the environment, is good for you.  Enviro-Health Presentations provide the information that empowers people with ideas for alternatives.

In 2010 when she first started presenting, Liz intended to only speak to adults, however she quickly realized how important it is to “get ’em while they’re young”. Youth benefit most from health-saving knowledge for two reasons:  1) toxins are generally more damaging to developing bodies, and 2) because it’s harder for adults to change habits.

Scent Smart originated from the popularity of EHP’s “No Scents Makes Sense” presentation. The topic of fragrances in the workplace warranted its very own site.

EHP topics discuss health from the perspective of what you can do to reduce your body’s toxic load, ie., understanding where the toxins are coming from and your options to reduce your exposure. One workplace hazard is the off-gassing that happens with new materials in workplace renovations. But the typical source of air pollution in the workplace is caused by individuals using scented products. And that is why – No Scents Make Sense!
